Lists all group thumbnail images uploaded for the enterprise.

Returns every thumbnail image file previously uploaded for use with Device Groups in the Devices & Groups section of the Console.

About Device Group Thumbnails Device Group thumbnails are purely cosmetic images used to visually distinguish groups in the Console UI.

Common Use Cases

  • Browsing available thumbnail images before assigning one to a new device group
  • Auditing which thumbnail images are currently uploaded for an enterprise
  • Finding a thumbnail_id needed for the get/delete thumbnail endpoints

Best Practices

  • Check this list before uploading a new image to avoid duplicates
  • Remove unused thumbnails periodically to keep the library manageable
  • Use descriptive thumbnail choices so Console users can distinguish groups quickly

Workflow

  1. GET this endpoint to list available thumbnails
  2. Use a returned thumbnail_id, or upload a new one via POST if none fit
  3. Apply the thumbnail to a device group in the Console
