Returns the Google EMM enrollment status of the enterprise.

Returns the current state of the tenant's Google Enterprise binding, including its google_enterprise_id and enrollment state.

About Google Enterprise Enrollment Status This endpoint reflects where a tenant is in the Google EMM enrollment lifecycle — from not yet enrolled, through the sign-up flow, to fully enrolled with an active google_enterprise_id.

Key Fields / Query Parameters

  • google_enterprise_id — Google's identifier for the enrolled enterprise, once enrollment is complete
  • state — Current enrollment state

Common Use Cases

  • Checking whether a tenant has completed Google EMM enrollment before enabling GMS device management features
  • Displaying enrollment status in a custom admin/onboarding UI
  • Troubleshooting why GMS-dependent features are unavailable for a tenant

Best Practices

  • Check this before attempting any GMS-device operations that assume an active EMM binding
  • Use this to detect an incomplete enrollment and prompt the admin to finish the sign-up flow
  • Treat a missing or inactive state as a signal to restart enrollment via /v2/emm/enrollment/begin/

Workflow

  1. GET this endpoint to check current enrollment state
  2. If not enrolled, begin the flow via POST /v2/emm/enrollment/begin/
  3. Once state indicates enrollment is complete, proceed with GMS device management features
