Returns fleet-wide status metrics for the enterprise dashboard, broken down by device risk level, battery status, provisioning state, and last-seen recency.

Use this endpoint to power dashboard summary tiles rather than per-device detail — it returns pre-aggregated counts, not a device list. This is the v2 replacement for the original status-metrics endpoint; the main functional change is that the flat active/in_active device counts from v1 are replaced here with a last_seen breakdown that buckets devices by how recently they last checked in.

About Get Status Metrics v2

This endpoint backs the summary tiles on the Esper Console dashboard, giving a fleet-level snapshot without requiring a full device list pull. It's scoped to a single enterprise and returns a single aggregate object rather than a paginated collection. Compared to v1, it trades the simple active/inactive split for finer-grained recency buckets under last_seen, at the cost of losing the flat active-device total.

Key Fields

• last_seen — object bucketing devices by last check-in recency. The fields less_than_30_minutes, less_than_1_day, and greater_than_1_day, but a live correspond to first_period, second_period, third_period (same three buckets, different keys).
• unprovisioned_devices — appears in live responses but is not documented in the current spec. In a sample response its value was identical to under_provisioning; treat these as possibly-duplicate until confirmed with the API team.
• under_provisioning — count of devices that haven't completed provisioning.
• unspecified — devices that don't fall into any named risk bucket. In practice this can dwarf every named risk bucket combined (98,595 unspecified vs. 0 across low_risk/medium_risk/high_risk/secure in a live sample) — don't assume the named buckets reflect real risk distribution.
• total_devices_under_risk — aggregate count of devices flagged at risk across the named risk buckets.
• low_risk / medium_risk / high_risk / secure — named security risk-level buckets.
• low_battery — devices currently reporting low battery.
• recently_added — devices added to the fleet recently.
